This place is awesome!!!! Our first time here 2 weeks ago with a party of 6. Located right on rt 340, plenty of parking. We tried this restaurant after a busy day of shopping. I made a reservation and so glad we did!! I do not eat meat BUT did sides as my meal, FANTASTIC!! The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were awesome!! Drinks were fire!! Small bar inside you can get beer or mixed cocktails. Everyone else in my party had the Create your own meat coma, lol They all said their food was awesome, brisket was fantastic! They had the burnt ends as an appetizers and it was great! We will definitely be back!

The food was amazing....... with exception to the mashed potatoes, they seemed bland and possibly instant. But with seasonings ok. The service was superb and prompt. Our table was constantly kept clean, appetizer plates quickly removed when finished, any trash from napkins and such, swept away. The entire restaurant was clean and tidy. Loved walking around the gift shop afterwards. Overall great experience for my family and I.

We were looking for a place for good food and quick service and we stopped at Smokehouse BBQ and Brew. The service was very good and the waiter was very good. We decided to try the Smokehouse Stacker, this sandwich came with 3 types of Smoked meats (Brisket, Pulled Pork, Bacon and topped with Coleslaw in a soft bun). It also came with Fries and enough meat for two sandwiches. We enjoyed our lunch and do recommend the restaurant for good food. The customers were mostly tourists having a good time.

After many changes to Lancaster County our visits over the years have become trial and error with trying to find new local home cooking like we've always loved. The Smokehouse BBQ & Brews did not disappoint! Our amazing server Alex A. went above and beyond with impeccable service, friendly/accommodating nature and he truly made us feel at home in Lancaster! The corn muffins, fried pickles, chicken corn chowder, caprese dip, fried chicken, cole slaw, pierogies, french fries, mashed potatoes and corn ribs were all delicious! We will be back and we hope to see Alex A. again, because he truly took his job to the next level and made us feel at home. You may be surprised to know the restaurant was the former Plain & Fancy, but the selections are beyond what they offered and it's a wonderful addition to the Lancaster experience! Give it a try, you'll be glad you did!

I remember as a kid growing up in Brooklyn, my grandfather would pile us all in his huge Chrysler New Yorker and we'd head on out to "Plain and Fancy". We'd enjoy our all you can eat meal and head back to Brooklyn (I don't remember hell traffic back then) Good memories but Plain and Fancy is closed. Rest in Peace. In its spot is now Smokehouse BBQ and Brews, no more family style, yay? (I'm not big on sharing with strangers. Hey buddy, pass the mashed potatoes just sounds off) Instead, I have my own table with my own BBQ plate thankyouverymuch. My wife & I came for dinner. I am loving the new digs! Up front, all the jams, jellies and home good your little heart desires. Oven mitts with the Amish logo? Check. Matching apron? Yep. I ordered wings to start and the Smokehouse Brisket Sandwich. The sandwich comes with brisket, pulled pork and all that goodness is topped with bacon. There is a meat fest party happening and I'm the first to arrive! The wings? Meh. Soggy, rubbery and slathered in sauce. I didn't come here for wings, I came for the BBQ. And the BBQ is what's happening! My sandwich was overloaded with pulled pork, sliced brisket and bacon. The bacon is nothing like I've ever experienced. It was thick with hardly any fat, it also tastes like part of the meat party. It was so good it pushed the brisket to the side and said: Who's house?! This was an awesome meal. Now comes time for dessert. We chose to spilt the pecan pie with chocolate chips. Our waitress gives us a pretty large portion of pie, it's served in a glass pie dish, huzza! My first bite, I felt violated. Like I had to report a crime. They microwaved the pie until the middle was red hot molten magma. Everything was off, it ruined the crust, even the pecans. If you're here, tell them not to heat it. Overall, our food was good and I would return.
